TWILIGHT AND THE MAGIC RAILWAY CHAPTER ONE: ANOTHER PORTAL?

When the girls awoke, they found that not only they had traveled, but also found everypony else. Only a few hadn't appeared. And when everybody looked down, they saw that they had been humanized.

Twilight: "Where are we?"

Celestia: "I have no clue, Twilight."

*A passenger train pulled by a tank engine has arrived and the driver steps out of the cab.*


Thomas: "Well, hullo there stranger, and welcome to the Island of Sodor, My name's Thomas"

*he extends his hand*

Twilight: "Hello Thomas, I'm Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends. 

Rainbow Dash: "Name's Rainbow Dash, how ya doin'?"

Applejack: "Why, howdy Thomas, I''m Applejack"

Fluttershy: "I'm... Fluttershy"

Pinkie Pie: "I'm Pinkie Pie, I like having parties, since we've never seen you before, I should throw a new friend party."

Rarity *does a curtsy*: "Please, forgive her, I'm Rarity."

Twilight then introduced Thomas to the others. 

*30 mins later*

Thomas: "Well, I'm pretty sure the Fat Controller will find some way to help you out. I'm on my way to the station. All aboard!"

*everyone boards the coaches as Thomas climbs back into his engine's cab and drives off once everyone's seated*

*scene shows Gordon's engine waiting impatiently at the station*

Gordon :5...6...7...8"

(*Thomas enters*)

Thomas: "Who do we appreciate!. Practicing your numbers Gordon? that's a good driver"

Gordon: "My dear Thomas, I'm counting how many seconds late you are."

*he points to a sign*

Gordon: "What does that sign say?"

Thomas *reading the sign*: "North Western Railway, Really Reliable, and Right On Time, We apologize for any delays during repairs and maintenance, as we are making this a better railway." signed head of the railway, Sir Charles Topham Hatt.."

Gordon *interrupting*: "But you weren't on time Thomas"

Thomas: "And you're being bossy Gordon, now if you excuse me, I have to help find a way to get these visitors home whilst The Fat Controller takes a much needed holiday."

Celestia: "I apologize for interupting, but how about if I look after things while your controller is away."

Gordon: "I think we can take care of ourselves ma'am"

(*suddenly, a "warship", class diesel races through, scaring Fluttershy and Gordon"

Diesel 10 *honks his engine's horn*: "GET OUT OF MY WAY! I HAVE SOME BUSINESS HERE, AND I WANT TO FINISH IT QUICKLY!"

*Fluttershy breaks down in tears*

As the diesel sped through, Twilight had to ask something.

Twilight: "Who was that?"

Thomas: "That's Diesel 10, the Fat Controller has sent him here on trial."

Twilight: "Why's he called Diesel 10?"

Thomas: "He's called that because of his brutal strength, and for his devious deeds. In fact, I heard that on the Other Railway, he's trying to get rid of all steam engines and their drivers."

*everyone quickly re-boards the train after Fluttershy's been calmed down and Thomas sets off for the yard after he drops everyone off at an inn*

Thomas: "If Diesel 10's got business here, there's sure to be trouble right around the corner"

*We see James trying to swat a fly while he's sitting in his engine at the sheds*

James: "Scandal fly, boot fly, shoo fly! better still, buzz off!"

*Thomas reverses his engine too quickly and bashes the buffers*

Thomas: "Botheration!"

James (*looks over*): "You weren't concentrating Thomas, lucky for you that those buffers were there."

Thomas: "Well that's what buffers are for, to stop our engines from crashing. What are you and your engine doing in the shed James?"

James: "I'm feeling a little blue, which isn't so hot when you've got a red engine. *badumtiss* Remember the time that I splashed mud all over the Fat Controller's suit?" He found out and shut me in the shed, He also told me to think of all the ways I can be useful again, than I could come out."

Thomas (*unaware that Diesel 10's approaching in his engine*): "You know that he's just trying to make this railway better for our steam engines."

James (*interrupting*): "Er... Thomas!"

Thomas: "The Fat Controller says that the harder we work our engines, the less help we'll need from the other railway diesels."

(*Diesel 10's arrived*)

Diesel 10: "Help you?" *he laughs maniacally* "Oh, that's rich" *fakes wiping a tear of laughter* "You're always going to need help because your steam engines are cowardly cranky, worn-out hunks of metal who couldn't harm a fly" 

James: "No they aren't"

D10: "Yes they are!"

James: "Aren't!"

D10: "ARE! Now, I suppose, that as cliched as this is, I'll tell you my evil plan. I've come here to find a lost steam engine"

James: "What?"

D10: "I'm going to destroy it, and dominate you, and when I do, you and your puffballs will be nothing but useless scrap. (*he presses a button in his engine's cab that reveals a secret hydraulic arm*) Right Pinchy?" (*laughs maniacally again as he presses the starter and heads off*)

James: "Big bully!" "Stinker"

Thomas (*goes after Diesel 10 as he starts his engine again*): "We've really useful engines, you won't dominate us, and you won't destroy her, we won't let you, and neither will the Fat Controller's interim. I'm off to fetch her now"

James *confused*: "What lost engine?"
